Normocure™

Broad-spectrum Antibacterial Agent for the Treatment of Contaminated Cell Cultures Normocure™ is a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent highly effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Therefore, cell cultures contaminated with bacteria from the environment, such as Staphylococcus species [1] and Achromobacter species [2], can be efficiently cured by Normocure™ treatment. Unlike most antibiotics used to treat cell cultures, such as Penicillin-Streptomycin, Normocure™ is also active against multidrug-resistant bacteria. Additionally, Normocure™ has been successfully used in primary cell cultures for the treatment of contaminated samples to safely obtain induced pluripotent stem cells [3].

Normocure™ is provided as a ready-to-use solution (50 mg/ml). Simply add to contaminated cell cultures at the recommended concentration (100 μg/ml) for 2 weeks. After 3 passages, the bacterial contamination is totally eliminated.

Note: Normocure™ is intended only for the elimination of bacteria in cell cultures. Do not use in humans.
