InvivoGen provides a collection of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies targeting human Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) for applications such as neutralization and detection.
TLR4 is the receptor for bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and lipid A, its toxic moiety [1]. However, TLR4 alone is not sufficient to confer LPS responsiveness. TLR4 requires both MD-2 and CD14 to functionally interact with LPS [2, 3]. Ultimately, this leads to the activation of NF-κB and the production of proinflammatory cytokines [3].
