BCP – Phase Separation Reagent
MRC Molecular Research Center Kontakt z doradcąPhase Separation Reagent is molecular biology grade 1–bromo–3–chloropropane (BCP).
It replaces chloroform, the highly volatile compound commonly used for phase separation in the single-step method of total RNA isolation and in the TRI Reagent® method. Substituting BCP for chloroform moderately improves the quantity and quality of the isolated RNA (1).
