This generates fragments of 726, 713, 553, 500, 427, 417, 413, 311, 249, 200, 151, 140, 118, 100, 82, 66 (x 2), and 48 bp, which can be visualised by staining with ethidium bromide.
FiX174/HinfI fragments are suitable for agarose and polyacrylamide gels, and can be used for DNA quantification.
